A Family Approach to Meaningful Support.

Choosing the right therapist matters.

As a family-run private practice, we bring a personal level of dedication and compassion to the work we do every day. With more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals and families, we’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where you can explore challenges, find clarity, and move confidently in your path forward.

Kenneth T. Kirksey

MSW, LISW-S

After 26 years of working part time as a private practice therapist, I decided this past January it was time to pursue my passion fulltime and launched Kirksey Counseling and Behavioral Health, LLC (KCBH).

I work with individuals ages 13 and older who are seeking support for a variety of mental and behavioral health concerns, including anxiety, depression, general stress, critical incident stress, family or relationship challenges, and workplace-related issues. I understand that reaching out for help can be difficult, and I strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns.

My approach to counseling is collaborative and primarily grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Together, we work to identify and challenge unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior while developing practical coping strategies that support healthier perspectives and emotional well-being.

If you have been considering counseling, therapy can be an important step toward positive change. I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where we can address difficult issues, strengthen coping skills, and work toward improved mental health and overall well-being.
